ABOUT ME
About
My name is Einat
I’m a self-taught artist living and working in Washington State. Painting is at the heart of my practice, though I love experimenting with other mediums—freestyle weaving, upcycling old wooden frames and furniture, paper mache sculpting, and mixed media.
These days, I’m drawn to painting vivid, naïve landscapes—rolling hills, winding paths, and skies that hum with light. My work celebrates color, whimsy, and the quiet beauty of nature.
Alongside my landscapes, I’ve been exploring a series of donkey portraits. Donkeys captivate me with their quiet strength, resilience, and gentle humor. Through bold color and expressive brushwork, I try to capture not just their form but their spirit—sometimes playful, sometimes contemplative.
I often paint in two ways: sometimes beginning with photographs that spark an idea, and other times starting with an intuitive abstract piece that slowly evolves into an imagined landscape. Both paths let me follow curiosity and emotion wherever they lead.
Before becoming a full-time artist, I earned advanced degrees in Mathematics and Computer Science and worked as a programmer. Over time, I realized my creative side needed more room to breathe—and art became that space.
Today, I also teach intuitive painting in my home studio. I love guiding others to let go of rules, trust their instincts, and rediscover the joy of creating freely. Watching that transformation never stops inspiring me.
